Fisherman's Watch Cottage
Great View, Great Place

Welcome to Fisherman's Watch Cottage

In the beautiful South Peninsula, we are in the quiet suburb of Fish Hoek, just a short drive from Cape Town. Situated on the mountainside, it has magnificent views of the Blue Flag Fish Hoek beach, sea and over the majestic mountains.  This is a modern, compact, self-catering garden flat, with a separate entrance. It includes bedroom, lounge, en-suite bathroom and full kitchen with most facilities, such as washing machine, hob & oven, microwave, and fridge. It has internet via Wi-Fi and full package DSTV HD satellite television. Fully load shedding protected!

Fully equipped kitchen includes all normal items for self-catering. Pots, pans, crockery, cutlery are all provided. It includes microwave oven as well as a hob and oven with extractor fan.

The lounge area features an HD-LED flat screen TV with full DSTV Premium bouquet. Wi-Fi is also included.
Solar power throughout means this all stays on in times of load shedding!

The bedroom has a standard sized double bed, for which linen is supplied. There is a set of clothes drawers as well as a hanging cupboard for jackets and other items.

Additional sleeping accommodation is in the lounge which has a comfortable foldout sleeper couch. Linen can be supplied for this as well.

There is a quiet, small, sheltered entertainment area overlooking the sea as well as our mainly indigenous garden.

Well away from busy traffic, the quiet peace of the site is only broken by the sound of the waves coming up from the sea below.
Access to the beach and catwalk is 10 minutes by foot, 5 mins by car.

We live on the property and respect our guests' privacy.
There is a security camera covering the entrance and steps down to the main house, but the cottage
and its deck area are not in any way affected.

We do also welcome interaction with international and local visitors and can offer some unique additional experiences. For example, George is a certified, qualified tour & wine guide with excellent knowledge of the local wine routes. He is willing (for a small fee) to accompany you on any trip into the wine regions to make sure you get the most out of the experience.
Barbara is also highly qualified in her field of Tourism and Geography, with extensive local knowledge that most professional tour guides would be envious.  Additionally, she is reasonably fluent in conversational German.

We regret that, although the place is accessed via two easy flights of steps, we are not wheelchair friendly.
Whereas smoking is permitted in the outside areas, smoking is not allowed inside.
